Objectives

  • Reduce the underrepresentation of women in the field of science
  • Increase in the proportion of women in the programmes of study at the department (Business Administration/Industrial Engineering and Business Information Systems)
  • Create a gender-equitable culture in the department
  • Prevent or reduce discrimination and disadvantages

Responsibilities

  • Representation of the interests of women of all status groups (administrative-technical staff, research associates, students and professors) in the department
  • Advising the department in personnel matters, especially by attending appointment procedures
  • Dissemination of information about professional training and informational events
  • Support of the Gender Equality Officer of TU Darmstadt in the implementation of the action plan of TU Darmstadt for the equality of female scientists and the recruitment of female professors
  • Planning and implementation of events to promote gender equality, e.g. discussions, workshops, seminars
  • Coordination of the allocation of women's advancement funds in the department
  • Participation in meetings of the Departmental Council
