Extracurricular Credits

Extracurricular Credits refers to an area in the study regulations in which non-degree-programme-specific modules can be taken, e.g. language courses, modules of social and historical sciences, human sciences.

In the new study regulations PO 2020 Business Administration/Industrial Engineering and Business Information Systems, achievements in the field of extracurricular credits are not included in the calculation of the final mark.

The following modules are excluded according to the above definition:

  • Bachelor WI/WINF: no module options that are offered within these degree programmes by the Departments of Law and Economics, Mathematics, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science. Scope of min. 3 credit points – max. 6 credit points.
  • Master WI/WINF: no modules in Law and Economics and in the department directly involved in the degree programme. External project work can also be included here. Scope: 6 credit points.
  • Master EIM/LSCM: no modules in Law and Economics. External project work can also be included here. Scope: 6 credit points.
