External Project Work

As a curricular component of each of the masters' degrees in Business Administration/Industrial Engineering, Business Information Systems, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management, as well as Logistics and Supply Chain Management, an external project can be included in the general coursework. The project is unmarked and is awarded 6 credit points after recognition by the Examination Board.

The external project in the amount of 180 hours over a minimum of 12 weeks is to be completed within the framework of on-the-job training at an institution outside of the university. The prerequisite for recognition is that a bachelor's certificate has been submitted at the time or, at minimum, that the bachelor's thesis has been successfully completed. (2020 Examination Regulations from 31 Oct. 2019)

In order for the credits to be recognised, a qualified work placement certificate and the confirmation form of the institution in the original must be submitted to the Office for Student Affairs after the end of the activity. The learning goal is achieved when the implementation and at least 8 of 12 qualification goals can be confirmed.
