Certificate of Good Standing

When transferring to another university, a certificate of good standing is required with the application or at latest with the enrolment. With the certificate, TU Darmstadt confirms whether exams are still open in the previous degree programme; i.e. the course has not been “finally failed” and can therefore, in principle, also be continued at another university.

The certificate will be issued by the Office for Student Affairs by request. If examination results are still pending in the current semester or if there are open registrations for exams, either the certificate cannot be issued until these are finalised or a corresponding note will be included.

An extended credit table is attached to the certificate, which shows all the credits attempted and thus also the failed attempts at the time of issue.
