We have compiled the most important information regarding the application and admission process for our new Master’s programme Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management (EIM). You can also find the current deadlines below.

Dear applicants, the processing of your applications for our Master’s programmes will take approx. 1 to 1.5 months due to a very high demand until the final decision is taken. You can track your processing status in the online application portal. We do not recommend frequent requests.

Application process

The application period for the summer semester is from December 1 until January 15.

The application period for the winter semester is from June 1 until July 15.

The application portal will be closed for these degree programmes after the application deadline.

All compulsory courses are hold in English. Therefore, you need to show evidence that your English knowledge meets a C1 level. Please check our Equivalence table displaying the different exam formats which are accepted and some further options of English proof.

The Department of Law and Economics offers an English class during the first semester where you have a possibility to achieve the required level after passing the course.

Requirements for admission to both Master’s degree programmes comprise a “Bachelor of Science” degree from the programmes B.Sc. Business Administration/Industrial Engineering of TU Darmstadt or an equivalent degree, for example Economics or Business Mathematics.

To be admitted to the Master's degree programmes, you have to prove your study experience in the field of economics totalling at least 45 credit points (CP), in mathematics and statistics totalling 20 CP, in law at least 9 CP as well as an independently produced course work (6 CP) and the Bachelor thesis (12 CP).

If these skills can be derived from your previous studies, you will be admitted directly.

The Department of Law and Economics has implemented a written entrance examination for both study programmes. If there is a doubt about required competencies according to your application, we will invite you to the entrance examination.

Date of the entrance examination: March 6th, at 10-11.30 a.m.

Specific degree entrance competencies for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management and Logistics and Supply Chain Management M.Sc. tested in the written entrance exam are listed here:

If you have passed the entrance exam, you will be admitted directly. You can see a sample entrance exam here.

Alternatively, you can take a GMAT externally. The accepted score for the direct admission is 650 or higher.

The following documents can be submitted later:

  • Bachelor’s degree certificate
  • English C1-certificate

Deadlines for submitting a degree certificate:

  • For graduates from TU Darmstadt: October 31 (winter semester) or April 30 (summer semester)
  • • For external (German and international) students: January 15 (winter semester) or June 15 (summer semester)

The invitation to the entrance exam and the results of the exam will remain valid for summer semester 2021.
