Overview

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is fundamentally reshaping the automotive industry. However, the successful integration of AI technologies depends not only on technical infrastructure but significantly on the workforce's ability to utilize these tools effectively. In this context, AUMOVIO (formerly the Continental group sector Automotive) is driving digital transformation through targeted corporate learning initiatives. This thesis focuses on the critical intersection of human resources and technology management: evaluating the current state of AI adoption and enhancing AI competence (AI Literacy) within a corporate environment. The goal is to derive empirical insights and strategic frameworks to foster a future-ready workforce.

Additional Information

This thesis is carried out in a practical cooperation with the company AUMOVIO. The position is located in Babenhausen (hybrid work possible) and is scheduled to start in February/March 2025.

Scope of the Master Thesis

  • Literature Review
    • 1. Conduct a comprehensive literature review on the role of AI Literacy and AI Adoption initiatives, with a special focus on corporate environments.
    • 2. Identify best practices for corporate learning activities aimed at increasing digital transformation capabilities.
  • Conceptualization and Analysis
    • 1. Design surveys and define metrics to assess AUMOVIO’s current AI upskilling initiatives.
    • 2. Develop a strategic framework and an evaluation model for future AI upskilling programs, including improved KPIs and success metrics.
    • 3. Provide empirical insights on the effectiveness of training initiatives to increase AI adoption.
    • 4. Derive a practical roadmap for increasing AI adoption and AI literacy within the workforce based on the analysis.

Your Profile

  • Studies in Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Computational Engineering, Technology Management, Psychology, or a comparable field of study.
  • Interest in interdisciplinary work, e.g., combined with Psychology or Social Sciences
  • Interest in AI tools, corporate learning, and digital transformation
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Python, Power BI) is a plus
  • Strong research mindset for literature review and benchmarking
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Very good English skills (written and spoken); German is helpful.
  • Enjoy communication, planning, and organizational tasks
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills as well as flexibility
